Nous sommes à Lyon, dans l’église Bon Pasteur construite en 1879. Des emballages en polystyrène recouvrent entièrement L’autel, pièce centrale de l’édifice et de la religion.
La réalisation respecte la structure initiale formelle et s’équilibre avec le style de l’architecture environnante. Elle produit des liens entre l’espace architectural et l’emballage : la frise, la répétition de motifs, l’ornement...
L’autel recouvert ainsi réactualise la fonction première de l’emballage qui lui-même renvoie à une nouvelle identité visuelle et de sens.
City of Lyon : In the Bon Pasteur Church built in 1879. Polystyrene packaging are entirely covering the altar, central piece of the building and also of the religion. The realisation is respecting the formal initial structure and finds its own place in the middle of the surrounding architecture. It creates links between the architectural space and the packaging : the frieze, the repetition of patterns, adornment…The altar is this way updating the fundamental function of the packaging that refers itself to a new signification and a new visual identity.
